BRONZE WWII AIRCRAFT MODELS
Tactile exhibits for Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Concept Realizations was commissioned to design and manufacture a collection bronze aircraft models for permanent display at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, at the site of the December 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The bronzes are installed on the upper deck of the Ford Island airfield control tower and depict several of the US and Japanese military aircraft involved in the attack, with the historic model configurations and armaments present that day: United States’ Consolidated Aircraft PBY Catalina patrol bomber, and Japan’s Aichi D3A1 “Val” dive-bomber, Nakajima B5N2 “Kate” torpedo bomber, and Mitsubishi A6M2 “Zero” fighter.
